Welcome to the Congress 2023 registration website. 

This registration form is for the Australian Banana Industry Congress 2023 to be held 17 – 19 May 2023 at the Cairns convention centre, Cairns, Australia.

Within this website you will be able to complete your registration and social functions booking including payment. At the conclusion of this registration process, you will receive an automatic confirmation letter outlining all of your registration details.

A lead scanning tool will be available onsite for industry that enables exhibitors to scan the QR code on your name badge when you visit their booth in person. When an exhibitor scans the QR code they will be able to see your contact name, organisation, address, and email address that you have registered for the Congress with. If you do not wish for them to have this information, please feel free to decline their request to scan your badge.

 

Important Information

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST. 

Payments can be made using the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard or bank transfer. 

Each individual registrations must be booked as separate bookings. This is to ensure we accommodate all individual needs, including specific requirements such as wheelchair access or special dietary needs.  

Your registration will not be confirmed until we have received your payment in full. 

You must complete all steps for your registration to be accepted. It is not possible to save an incomplete registration and come back to it later.

Cancellation Policy 

All cancellations and amendments must be sent in writing via email to the registration team. 

For cancellations received on or before 18 March 2023 will be refunded in full, less a 25% cancellation fee to cover administrative costs.

Social Functions

All fulltime Congress registrations include all social functions, including the Welcome Reception, Trade Show Evening and Banana Ball. However, for catering purposes we ask that you indicate whether you will be attending each individual function. 

 

There is also an option to purchase additional tickets to these social functions, if you will be accompanied by another person/persons that are not registering for Congress, but would like to attend the social events.

Science Symposium

After the success of the 2021 event, the third Banana Scientific Symposium will be delivered in association with the 2023 Banana Congress. The Scientific Symposium is a great opportunity for the banana research community to share their latest research, exchange ideas, improve linkages and initiate new collaborations. The symposium will be a full day event comprising  10 minute scientific presentations with Q&A sessions.

The Scientific Symposium will afford RD&E providers attending the 2023 Banana Congress, an opportunity to present a more detailed account of their latest research in addition to an opportunity to present posters within the Congress Programme.

The Australian banana industry is well supported by banana researchers from various government agencies, universities, and other service providers across Australia. The Symposium provides a great opportunity to foster communication and collaboration between researchers so that we continue to deliver high quality scientific research that adds value and benefits Australian banana growers.

Growers keen to hear about the latest Scientific developments may also be interesting in attending and are welcome.
